1. Try axe throwing at Bermuda Blades
Our private, covered outdoor lanes suit a date, a catch-up with friends or a family challenge. Beginners are welcome, and real axe sessions start with a safety briefing and coaching.
Real axe throwing: ages 12+. A 30-minute session starts at £30 for two people; a 60-minute session starts at £50 for two.
Soft-bristle axe throwing: ages 8+. A lane for up to six people costs £20 for 30 minutes or £30 for 60 minutes.
Birthday parties: the 90-minute real axe package costs £25 per person, with a minimum of six, and includes a trophy for every guest.
There is free parking on site. The lanes are covered, but this is an outdoor venue, so wear suitable closed-toe footwear and layers for the temperature. See all session prices, find the right session or check availability.
2. Play adventure golf at Bermuda Falls
Bermuda Falls Adventure Golf has an 18-hole course on the Perfect Aquatics site. It is a convenient activity to plan before or after axe throwing without arranging a second drive. Check its tickets, opening times and weather arrangements directly. Golf admission is separate from your Bermuda Blades booking.
3. Stop at the Koi Café
The Koi Café is also at Perfect Aquatics, with breakfast, lunch and drinks on its menu. Check its current menu and opening times when planning your visit. For a group celebration, contact the café about your needs before assuming it can accommodate everyone at your preferred time.
4. Follow a walk around Henlow
For an outdoor addition to your day, Henlow Parish Council publishes routes including Henlow Lakes and Arlesey Moat, Baulk Wood and Henlow Heights. Choose a route that suits your group, the daylight and ground conditions.

5. Make a longer outing to Shuttleworth
For a separate stop further afield, Shuttleworth at Old Warden brings together historic aircraft and vehicles with the Swiss Garden. It can suit groups who want to combine an active session with time exploring an attraction. Check its opening dates, tickets and event calendar, and allow travel time between sites.
Easy ways to plan your Henlow day out
For couples or two friends
Choose a 30- or 60-minute real axe session, then arrange a café stop or a separate round of golf. Book the timed activity first and leave space around it so the day feels relaxed.
For families
Soft-bristle throwing is ages 8+, while real axe throwing is ages 12+. A soft-bristle lane can accommodate up to six people. If your group wants both activities, contact us about suitable lane availability before booking. Add golf or a walk only if it fits everyone’s energy and the forecast.
For birthdays and work groups
Our birthday package and year-round team-day packages offer a structured group visit. Send us your date and guest count before arranging food or other activities, so the timings work together.
What if it rains?
