What Is Axe Throwing?

Bermuda Blades is an outdoor, covered axe throwing venue based at Perfect Aquatics in Henlow, one of the most unique and exhilarating activities you can do within easy reach of Hitchin, Stevenage, Bedford, Biggleswade, and Letchworth.

Axe throwing is exactly what it sounds like: you stand at a throwing line, take aim at a wooden target, and send a real axe spinning through the air until it sticks. Our fully trained instructors guide every session from start to finish, no experience needed, no upper body strength required, just a willingness to try something genuinely different.

Whether you're booking for a first date, a stag do, a birthday party, or just because Thursday feels like it needs an axe in it, we've got a session for you.

Safety & Age Policy

Safe for All Ages

Safety is built into every session at Bermuda Blades. A qualified instructor is present at all times. Here's how our age policy works:

18 & Over

Can take part fully independently. Our instructor will run your session and coach you throughout.

Ages 12–17

Welcome to throw real axes alongside a participating responsible adult. Great for family sessions.

Under 12

Use our dedicated Kids' Lane with plastic bristle targets, axes and shurikens.

Bermuda Blades is located at Perfect Aquatics in Henlow, Bedfordshire a leisure complex that also includes mini golf and a café, making it a brilliant full-day activity for families and groups alike. Free parking is available on site.
