Welcome to Bermuda Blades, Henlow’s newest entertainment destination, located on the Perfect Aquatics site next to Bermuda Falls Adventure Golf. We are an independent throwing sports business built around one thing, delivering unforgettable experiences through the thrill of axe throwing and competitive target sports.
Although Bermuda Blades shares a similar name and location to Bermuda Falls, we are actually a completely separate business owned and managed by different directors. What we do share, however, is the same passion for entertainment, unique experiences, and giving people something exciting to talk about long after they leave.
Throwing sports offer a completely different kind of social experience. Whether you are visiting with friends, family, colleagues, or a partner, axe throwing combines competition, adrenaline, laughter, and skill into one unforgettable activity. It is a fantastic way to break away from the usual nights out and try something genuinely unique.
Traditionally, axe throwing venues operate entirely through private lane hire and while we absolutely still offer that experience, we also recognised a common issue within the industry. Private lane bookings can often make axe throwing inaccessible for smaller groups, couples, or solo visitors due to the higher cost of reserving an entire lane.
That is exactly why Bermuda Blades was created differently.
Alongside our private lane experiences, we also offer shared lanes, allowing individuals, couples, and smaller groups to enjoy the excitement of axe throwing without the expense of hiring a full private lane. It keeps the sport accessible, social, and affordable for everybody. Of course, for those wanting a more personalised experience, private lane hire remains available and is perfect for parties, celebrations, corporate events, and dedicated group sessions.
And while axes may sound intimidating at first, axe throwing is actually an extremely safe and professionally controlled activity when run correctly. Every session is supervised by trained instructors who are experienced in correct handling, throwing, and recovery techniques to ensure everyone stays safe while still having an incredible time. A qualified first aider will also always be present on site, giving you complete peace of mind while you focus on hitting the bullseye.

What To Expect When You Visit Us?
Whether you are visiting for a quick competitive session or a full hour of throwing action, every Bermuda Blades experience is designed to be exciting, social, and beginner friendly while still offering enough challenge for experienced throwers. Every session includes safety guidance, throwing instruction, physical score keeping, and access to our range of fun scoring based mini games.
30 Minute Sessions
Our 30 minute sessions are perfect for casual throwers, date nights, smaller groups, or anybody wanting a fast paced introduction to axe throwing.
First 10 Minutes
Traditional Throwing & Practice
Your instructor will begin by teaching you the basics of safe axe handling, throwing techniques, scoring, and lane rules. During this time you will get comfortable throwing while playing using traditional axe throwing rules and keeping score on your physical score pad.
This section is all about building confidence, improving accuracy, and finding your throwing style.
Next 15 Minutes
Choose Your Game
Once everybody is comfortable throwing, you can continue with traditional throwing or choose one of our fun scoring based mini games, all played using physical scoring boards and traditional targets.
Around The World (Intermediate)
Players must hit every scoring ring in order starting from the outside ring and working towards the bullseye. Miss the correct ring and you must try again on your next throw. Accuracy and consistency are key.
Bullseye Battle (Intermediate)
Only throws that land in the bullseye count. The first player to hit 3 successful bullseyes wins the game. Simple, competitive, and surprisingly intense.
21 (Hard)
Players race to score exactly 21 points using the traditional scoring system. Go over 21 and your score drops back to 15, meaning every throw matters and pressure builds quickly.
Team Battle (Easy)
Split into teams and combine your scores to compete together. Play first team to 100 points or highest total score after 5 rounds wins. Perfect for larger groups and competitive sessions.
Traditional Rules (Easy)
Prefer classic axe throwing? Continue using the traditional scoring system while competing head to head for the highest score.
Final 5 Minutes
Knock Out
The pressure is on. Every player throws one axe per round while competing to stay in the game. The lowest scoring player after each round is eliminated until only one thrower remains standing. If players tie, a throw off decides who advances to the next round.
Knock Out is fast paced, competitive, and the perfect way to finish your Bermuda Blades experience. Want more mini games instead? This section can be removed for extended gameplay.
60 Minute Sessions
Our 60 minute sessions give you more time to improve your technique, experience multiple game modes, and fully enjoy everything Bermuda Blades has to offer. Perfect for groups, parties, and competitive players.
First 15 Minutes
Traditional Throwing & Skill Building
Your session begins with instructor led training covering throwing techniques, safety procedures, scoring, and lane rules. Players will use traditional axe throwing scoring while building confidence and improving consistency.
This extended practice time allows players to settle into the experience and sharpen their aim before moving into game modes.
Next 40 Minutes
Choose Two Mini Games Or Continue Traditional Throwing
During the main section of your session, players can choose up to two different mini games or continue with traditional throwing rules throughout. All games are played using physical scoring boards and traditional axe throwing targets.
Around The World (Intermediate)
Work your way through every scoring ring from the outside to the bullseye in order. Precision becomes increasingly important as the targets get smaller and more difficult.
Bullseye Battle (Intermediate)
Only bullseyes count. First player to successfully land 3 bullseyes takes the win. Fast paced and highly competitive.
21 (Hard)
Race to exactly 21 points without going over. Exceed the limit and your score resets back to 15. This game rewards consistency and composure under pressure.
Team Battle (Easy)
