Soft bristle: 30 or 60 minutes
Plastic axes and shurikens make a lively target challenge for children aged 8+ and families. Up to six people share a lane, taking turns and chasing their best score. Choose 30 minutes for a quick activity or 60 minutes for more time to practise and play. One lane for up to six guests costs £20 for 30 minutes or £30 for 60 minutes. Two lanes for up to 12 guests cost £40 for 30 minutes or £60 for 60 minutes. Adults attending supervise the session. For mixed-age groups, ask about booking soft bristle alongside a real axe throwing lane.
Real axes: learn, practise, compete
For ages 12+, our 30- and 60-minute sessions start with a safety briefing, demonstration and practice throws. Try different axes, improve your technique with your instructor and enjoy friendly scoring games. No previous experience is needed. Choose 60 minutes when you want more time to settle into your rhythm.
Birthday parties with a personal touch
A dedicated host guides your group through 30 minutes of briefing and coached practice, 30 minutes on a personalised zombie birthday target and a final 30 minutes of games and tournament action. Two private lanes, four weapons, scorecards and a trophy and certificate for every attendee are included. Ages 12+; £25 per person, minimum six.
Corporate events, work dos and Christmas parties
Bring colleagues together for a private coached showdown with two covered lanes. Pick one hour for up to 12 guests or two hours for up to 24. We run scoring games and a tournament, with scorecards to keep the rivalry going. Advance group bookings are available 9am–9pm, Monday to Sunday, subject to availability. Stag and hen axe throwing
Start the celebration with a private competition in Henlow. Your stag or hen package includes the same lanes, weapons, coaching, scorecards and games as our corporate packages, at exactly the same prices. One hour: £119 Monday–Thursday or £139 Friday–Sunday. Two hours: £199 Monday–Thursday or £229 Friday–Sunday. Participants must be sober: plan any drinks after throwing.
For corporate, stag and hen groups above the included guest count, extra guests cost £11.50 each on the one-hour package or £9.50 each on the two-hour package. Tell us your full group size so we can confirm suitable arrangements.
Custom targets and weapon upgrades
- Challenge targets: Hostage Rescue, Monster Chase, Fruit Slice, Zombie Killer and Kraken Attack. Your session upgrade includes a regular target and your chosen challenge target; take the custom target home afterwards. Hatchets and Angel Axes are used on custom targets.
- Company name or logo target: £15 each, ideal for team events. Tell us what you would like when enquiring.
- Weapon upgrades: add throwing knives for £7.50 or ask about the Rhino axe upgrade (£7.50). Upgrades are optional; confirm availability for your chosen session when booking.
- Trophies: £12 individually or £30 for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place set. Birthday packages already include a trophy for every attendee.
Extras are charged in addition to the session unless explicitly included. Choose available upgrades at checkout or include them in your group enquiry. Shop themed target posters for your own setup.
Give them something to aim for
E-gift vouchers cover a 60-minute Full Experience for two to six people. They are delivered after purchase and redeemed with the unique voucher number at booking checkout. The balance can also be used towards a cheaper 30-minute session, with remaining credit available for another visit. Annual membership is £99 and gives 50% off standard axe throwing bookings for one year; corporate and birthday bookings are excluded and membership does not automatically renew.

- Beginners welcome: real axe sessions include a safety briefing and instruction.
- Private booked lanes and covered throwing areas. Dress for the outdoor temperature and wear closed-toe shoes.
- Real axes are for ages 12+; ages 12–15 require parental consent and a guardian present. Soft bristle is for ages 8+ with adult supervision.
- Free customer parking at Perfect Aquatics; spectators can watch. Arrive 10–15 minutes before your session.
- Participants must be sober. Please contact us about access needs before booking: the venue is wheelchair accessible except for the throwing range, and an instructor can retrieve axes.
- For group enquiries, we confirm availability, any extras and your total price before you book. Sending an enquiry does not reserve a session.
