Things to Do for Halloween in Bedfordshire: Axe Throwing with a Twist

Looking for things to do for Halloween in Bedfordshire that go beyond another night on the sofa? Bring a little friendly competition into your autumn plans with axe throwing, a custom challenge target and a few easy ideas for the rest of your day.

Bermuda Blades is at Perfect Aquatics in Henlow, making it a local option for friends, couples and families travelling from Bedford, Biggleswade, Shefford, Hitchin and Letchworth.

Give axe throwing a Halloween twist

Our real axe throwing sessions for ages 12+ start with instruction and practice before you try scoring games. A custom paper challenge target changes the game: instead of only chasing a bullseye, you aim for illustrated scoring zones and compete to beat your friends.

Ask about the current Halloween and monster designs when booking. The challenge range includes zombie and monster themes alongside other designs, with availability depending on the session. Hatchets and Angel Axes are used on custom targets to help the paper last longer. After your session, the target, or what survives of it, is yours to take home.

Halloween axe throwing prices

  • 30-minute real axe throwing for two: £30.

  • 60-minute real axe throwing for two: £50.

  • 30-minute real axe throwing for six: £59.

  • 60-minute real axe throwing for six: £99.

The booking page advertises an upgrade to two lanes and a challenge target for £15. This is an add-on to your session, not a complete session for £15. Check the option for your chosen booking and ask us to confirm your preferred Halloween design.

Both lanes are covered, but the venue is outdoors, so bring suitable layers. Check axe throwing availability and current checkout prices before organising the group.

A family Halloween outing for younger children

Children aged 8+ can try soft-bristle axe throwing with plastic axes, shurikens and dedicated bristle targets. One lane for up to six guests costs £20 for 30 minutes or £30 for 60 minutes. Two lanes for up to 12 guests cost £40 or £60 respectively. These sessions are self-supervised by the attending adults.

Soft-bristle throwing is a separate activity from real axe throwing and paper challenge targets. For a mixed-age group, ask about using one lane for older throwers and the other for younger children.

More ways to make a Halloween day of it

Plan a pumpkin-carving challenge

Pick a theme, bring the pumpkins home and let everyone design a face. Adults should handle sharp tools for younger children. You can carry the friendly scoring idea into a vote for the funniest or most creative pumpkin.

Choose an age-appropriate spooky film

A film night works well after an active afternoon. Pick the film around the youngest person watching and check its age rating rather than assuming every Halloween title is suitable for children.

Add adventure golf to your visit

Bermuda Falls Adventure Golf is next door on the Perfect Aquatics site. Ask about golf availability and any seasonal activities separately; an axe throwing booking does not automatically include golf or a Halloween event.

Celebrating an October birthday?

Our real axe throwing birthday parties for ages 12+ offer a 90-minute session at £25 per person, with a minimum of six guests. The package includes a personalised birthday challenge target, two lanes, a dedicated host, games, scorecards, certificates and trophies. For a younger child’s soft-bristle birthday outing, contact us for suitable options.

Halloween designs and session spaces are subject to availability. Contact Bermuda Blades to discuss your group and target, or book your Henlow session online.
